I remember watching the series and being impressed by how good players they were. Watching this now in 2023 and man everyone used to suck back in the day😂 this level of play would not get these guys into even diamond league Of course this is WoL and not LotV, and both players improved radically after this, but like no wall in your main MKP? Going with marines across the map blind with no medivacs? Nestea just casually suiciding slow lings there for no reason, morphing banelings when it would have been better to just a-move lings etc.

honestly even marines can do ok against ultras. Maybe not then though. I don't know everything about patch history, but maybe ultras were doing more splash back then. Now I think they do like 5 damage to neighboring units, back then it might have been full damage?

It's astounding that terrans ever lost in the seeker-missile era. But then again terrans have always been pretty low skill. I think snipe was worse back then, doing 40 damage instead of a stupid 170. They should probably take away the ability to snipe massive units. Thors still hard counter broods, and marauders still do massive damage to ultras, which can't shoot air so they are far from unstoppable. Ultras are probably the worst unit in the game, tied with a lot of other zerg and protoss units that should almost never be built, and because they are so rarely built, they have some value as a surprise.

damn terrans have always been stupid, coasting on race imbalance. I mean thors bro? Have you heard of air units? Do you realize how much better terran air is than zerg? Didn't ravens have seeker missiles back then? But that's a ... spellcaster! Modern terrans are capable of using 1 of 2, but back then they were even worse I guess.
